Dr. Todd Shank Receives Course Quality Re-certification

Online Learning and Instructional Technology Services (OLITS) is very pleased to announce that, on September 27, 2017, Dr. Todd Shank received Quality Matters re-certification for his online course, International Finance (FIN 2604). His course received its’ initial QM certification on February 28, 2012.

The initial QM certification resulting from a peer review is valid for five years. The re-certification review, which follows the most recent rubric and set of standards, is valid for an additional three years.

The Quality Matters initial and re-certification peer review process is rigorous and focuses on the quality of course design and alignment of materials. The reviewers apply 43 standards from a research-based rubric of best practices in online and blended learning.

Quality Matters Recognizes Dr. Daniel Marlin

Please join Online Learning and Instructional Technology Services in congratulating Dr. Daniel Marlin on receiving Quality Matters certification for his online course!

On September 28, 2017, Dr. Marlin’s Organizational Strategies For The 21st Century course, MAN 6782, received Quality Matters certification through the peer review process. The peer review is guided by a research based rubric for high quality online course design.

Dr. Marlin’s course is the thirteenth to be certified from USFSP’s Kate Teidemann College of Business. Dr. Marlin was supported by Carol Fisher, the Instructional Designer for the college’s Master of Business Administration program. His course is now listed on the QM database of award-winning courses from colleges and universities across the nation. Additionally, the QM Seal of Recognition will now be displayed within his online course.
