On December 4, 2018, Dr. Nina Schmidt’s online course, Principles of Finance (FIN 3403), was awarded Quality Matters Certification. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Schmidt for receiving certification for another one of her online courses!
Dr. Schmidt received QM Certification for Real Estate Decision Making (REE 3043) in 2014. When asked about her experiences taking a second course through the QM Certification process, she shared:
Since my last QM review, I believe that the peer review process has improved even further. Now, even when a standard is met, the reviewers still make comments on how to further improve the course. I am very impressed with the quality and quantity of the helpful suggestions that were made to me. Knowing that my course has met the QM standards gives me even more confidence that the course offers my students a high-quality learning experience.
We thank Dr. Schmidt for her continued commitment to providing high-quality, online learning experiences to her students! Her course is now listed on the QM database of certified courses and will also be recognized in the Florida Virtual Campus public course catalog as a “High Quality” course.
