Turn-It-In now live with USFSP Canvas

Create an assignment as usual.  Choose Online Submission.  You’ll now see an option to Enable Turnitin

Turnitin currently accepts the following file types for upload into an assignment:

  • Microsoft Word® (DOC and DOCX)
  • Corel WordPerfect®
  • HTML
  • Adobe PostScript®
  • Plain text (TXT)
  • Rich Text Format (RTF)
  • Portable Document Format (PDF)

Clicking Advance Settings will bring up some, advanced settings

When a paper is being processed, it will show in the gradebook as

Once the paper is ready, the icon will change to Green, click it and you’ll see an option to view the originality report.

student view

Student will attach a file as usual, or cut and paste text if that was selected.  There is a brief legal statement (same as SafeAssign in Blackboard), and a check box that the student must check affirming the work is original and owned by the student.
