A Packing List for Canvas

If you have had a chance to attend one of the Canvas Overview or Great Migration trainings, then you are aware that simply exporting your course and importing it into Canvas has the potential to become a confusing mess. Instead, it is recommended that you transfer most items manually (for more information about this process, attend one of the trainings).

For those of you who have already become familiar with Canvas and are ready to begin making the transition, check out this new resource.

To make the transition easier, we have created a Module “Packing List” Form to help you convert your course from Blackboard to Canvas. Use one copy of this form for each module (aka weeks or units) to help you to track all content and activities that exist in your current course so that nothing gets left behind in the transition.

If you have not attended a training yet and would like more information about transitioning your course to Canvas, sign up for a session using the registration links on our Professional Development webpage.
